Ono is an amazing female in my
point of view after I read this article. “In this experience of art, the viewer
or listener loses respect for the current order or arrangement of civilization
and thus becomes powerful, like King Kong, and outside civilization, like God.”
Those topics are always myths for human beings. When I know that art can also
be related to the God, I am really interested how artists can break down the
norm to interpret myths like God. Does Ono create kind of painting finally? Or
are there other artists reach this achievement? Ono using silence or screeches
in her singing also intrigues me. How can she express the pitch, the sound and
the feeling the song want to express just by silence and screaming. Ono has
many stories which catch my attention, like her stories of three husbands and
finding her daughter. Ono is not only a puzzle for the author, but also a myth
for me after I read this article.
I don’t think Ono wants to find her
daughter back even if she accepts the loss of her daughter when she divorced
with his second husband. When she has the third husband who she loves really
much, I think she wants to find her daughter back and enjoy family joy. That’s
reasonable. The reason why she just lets her daughter go is that she does not find what she really cares about at that time. However, after she met Lennon,
she recalls the memory of daughter and she wants a whole family. Loss to
finding is totally reasonable for me.
